Whiteside welcomes Scott Mikuta as a new member, reflecting an early part of his work in community-building, member engagement, leadership development, and mission-centered collaboration.\n\nThis video documents the relational side of Jermaine’s broader work across ministry, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, education, technology, publishing, and community development. Strong organizations are not built only through documents, systems, or strategies; they are also built through people, relationships, trust, shared purpose, and consistent engagement.\n\nThe welcome of a new member represents more than an introduction. It reflects the importance of building communities where individuals can contribute their gifts, participate in shared learning, and support a broader vision for leadership, service, and positive impact.\n\nThis video connects to Jermaine E. Whiteside’s broader identity as an author, researcher, educator, publisher, and faith-informed governance strategist. Across his projects and publications, Jermaine’s work focuses on helping individuals and institutions move from risk to remedy through education, ethical leadership, documentation discipline, technology-supported planning, institutional readiness, and public trust.\n\nThese themes also connect to Faithful Intelligence, a framework for responsible AI use, Christian education, digital discipleship, stewardship, discernment, accountability, and institutional trust. Faithful Intelligence is not only about technology; it is also about how communities preserve dignity, strengthen trust, support wise decision-making, and build accountable systems around people.\n\nAI Disclosure and Integrity Statement:\nThis video does not include AI-generated speaker imagery or AI-created visual representation unless otherwise stated in the video itself. Contemporary retrospective descriptions are not treated as original historical speech. In this legacy video, Jermaine E. Whiteside discusses the importance of focusing on technology and paving the way for startups, connecting entrepreneurship, digital readiness, small business development, AI-related opportunity, and practical innovation.\n\nThis video reflects an early part of Jermaine’s work through the broader E-Vision Business Center concept: helping startups, entrepreneurs, and community-serving organizations think more clearly about technology adoption, business planning, digital systems, and organizational readiness.\n\nThis video is also significant because it reflects Jermaine E. Whiteside’s early public focus on technology, startups, and AI-related business transformation before artificial intelligence became a mainstream public conversation. The themes in this legacy video—technology adoption, startup readiness, digital systems, and future-facing business development—anticipated many of the questions that now shape his current work in Faithful Intelligence, ethical AI governance, responsible technology, and institutional readiness.\n\nThis video also connects to Jermaine E. Whiteside’s later SSRN working paper research on SBA-exposed enterprises, audit-safe exit pathways, economic substance, documentation discipline, and governance controls. The practical concern reflected in this early E-Vision Business Center training—helping startups prepare systems, understand business readiness, and build technology-supported capacity—later matured into a broader research agenda focused on reducing compliance risk, strengthening transparency, and preparing small businesses for retrospective review.\n\nToday, these themes connect to the planned summer rebrand of E-Vision Project Development into a Payhip-based online training platform. The E-Vision archive supports future training areas in startup readiness, small business technology, early AI-readiness, SBA disaster assistance navigation, audit preparation, documentation systems, security planning, senior housing systems, emergency management, infrastructure readiness, and responsible governance.\n\nThese themes also connect to Jermaine’s current research and publishing on Faithful Intelligence, a framework for responsible AI use, Christian education, digital discipleship, stewardship, discernment, accountability, and institutional trust. In the secular governance lane, Faithful Intelligence supports practical systems that help organizations use technology, information, public resources, and decision-making tools responsibly while preserving human dignity, transparency, resilience, and trust.\n\nAI Disclosure and Integrity Statement:\nThis video does not include AI-generated speaker imagery or AI-created visual representation unless otherwise stated in the video itself. Contemporary retrospective descriptions are not treated as original historical speech. In this legacy video, Jermaine E. Whiteside presents the launch concept for VET360TV, a veteran-centered media and education platform designed to support storytelling, transition readiness, public-service communication, and community connection.\n\nThis concept reflects an early part of Jermaine’s broader work in developing practical platforms that help individuals and communities move from experience to education, and from service to continued purpose. VET360TV was designed around the idea that veterans’ stories, leadership lessons, transition experiences, and practical knowledge can become valuable educational resources for military families, civic leaders, communities, and the next generation.\n\nThis video also connects to Jermaine’s broader work in publishing, digital training, veteran support, leadership development, and institutional readiness. Across his projects, Jermaine has focused on building frameworks that preserve lived experience, organize knowledge, and turn community insight into accessible learning tools.\n\nThe VET360TV concept also connects to the broader A Vet360 Approach platform and veteran transition work, including efforts to support active-duty military members, veterans, and families as they navigate civilian life, leadership identity, service continuity, and community reintegration.\n\nToday, these themes connect to Jermaine E. Whiteside’s current work as an author, researcher, educator, publisher, and faith-informed governance strategist. His research and publishing examine ethical leadership, public trust, responsible technology, Christian education, institutional readiness, and community transformation.\n\nThese themes also connect to Faithful Intelligence, a framework for responsible AI use, Christian education, digital discipleship, stewardship, discernment, accountability, and institutional trust. In the secular governance lane, Faithful Intelligence supports responsible technology and media systems that protect human dignity, preserve institutional memory, strengthen public trust, and help communities learn from lived experience.\n\nAI Disclosure and Integrity Statement:\nThis video does not include AI-generated speaker imagery or AI-created visual representation unless otherwise stated in the video itself. The updated description, metadata, and educational framing may be supported by AI-assisted drafting and review tools for clarity, accessibility, search optimization, and brand consistency. Contemporary retrospective descriptions are not treated as original historical speech. In this legacy video, Jermaine E. Whiteside shares information connected to SBA Coronavirus Assistance Webinars, small business recovery, public-resource navigation, and crisis-era business readiness.\n\nThis video reflects an early part of Jermaine’s work through the broader E-Vision Business Center concept: helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community-serving organizations understand available assistance, organize records, prepare documentation, and respond more effectively during periods of disruption.\n\nThe COVID-19 period created significant pressure for small businesses. Many owners needed to understand emergency assistance programs, documentation requirements, eligibility questions, and recovery pathways while also trying to keep their operations stable. This video is part of the public archive showing Jermaine’s early concern with helping businesses move from uncertainty toward better information, better preparation, and stronger resilience.\n\nThis video also connects to Jermaine E. Whiteside’s later SSRN working paper research on SBA-exposed enterprises, audit-safe exit pathways, economic substance, documentation discipline, and governance controls. The practical concern reflected in this early SBA assistance content—helping small businesses understand public assistance and prepare records—later matured into a broader research agenda focused on reducing compliance risk, strengthening transparency, and preparing enterprises for retrospective review.\n\nToday, these themes connect to the planned summer rebrand of E-Vision Project Development into a Payhip-based online training platform. The E-Vision archive supports future training areas in SBA readiness, small business recovery, audit preparation, documentation systems, disaster assistance navigation, startup technology readiness, emergency management, infrastructure readiness, and responsible governance.\n\nThese themes also connect to Faithful Intelligence, a framework for responsible AI use, Christian education, digital discipleship, stewardship, discernment, accountability, and institutional trust. When starting and running a business, compliance with state laws is crucial to maintain your company's good standing. One of the key requirements for businesses in South Carolina and across the United States is to designate a Registered Agent. But what exactly is a Registered Agent, and why is this role so important? What is a Registered Agent? A Registered Agent is a person or business entity designated to receive official legal documents, notices, and correspondence on behalf of a business. This includes service of process (legal notices for lawsuits), compliance documents, and communication from the state government. The purpose of a Registered Agent is to provide a reliable point of contact for a business, ensuring that important information is received and addressed in a timely manner. The Registered Agent must have a physical address in the state where the business operates and be available during normal business hours. Why Does Your Business Need a Registered Agent? In South Carolina, state law mandates that all business entities, such as LLCs, corporations, and partnerships, appoint a Registered Agent as part of their formation process. Failure to do so can have severe consequences for your business, including penalties, administrative dissolution, or loss of the ability to legally operate in the state1. Benefits of a Registered Agent Ensures Compliance with State Requirements : A Registered Agent helps your business meet state laws, avoiding fines and penalties. Provides a Reliable Contact : Ensures you never miss important legal notices or compliance deadlines. Maintains Privacy : If you operate from home or don’t have a dedicated business office, using a Registered Agent shields your personal address from public records. Convenience for Multi-State Businesses : For companies operating in multiple states, a Registered Agent ensures compliance across jurisdictions1. Who Can Be a Registered Agent? A Registered Agent can be: An individual who is a resident of the state. A professional Registered Agent service. A company officer or employee, provided they meet the state’s availability and address requirements. Consequences of Not Having a Registered Agent Failing to maintain a Registered Agent can result in: Administrative dissolution of your business by the South Carolina Secretary of State. Missed legal notices, leading to default judgments in lawsuits. Penalties and fines for non-compliance. Difficulty reinstating your business, which may require costly legal and administrative work1. Should You Hire a Professional Registered Agent? While some businesses choose an officer or employee as their Registered Agent, hiring a professional service often provides greater reliability and ensures compliance. A professional Registered Agent: Maintains availability during business hours. Keeps your business informed about compliance deadlines. Offers additional services like annual report tracking and filing assistance1. Take Action Today Appointing a Registered Agent is not just a legal requirement—it’s a smart business decision to protect your company and ensure smooth operations. Allison: I'm not going to... Woman: I was getting your arm in there, I was like... Woman: I'm not getting in the way. Woman: We're looking at you. Woman: Okay, those are some serious scissors, huh? Woman: I'm going to do a countdown, and if you want to look at me and cut, I'll do 1, 2, 3, and then you can cut. Ready? 1, 2, 3... 00:38 (Ribbon is cut, audience claps and cheers) 00:43 Chamber Representative: I just wanted to say on behalf of the Chamber, I mean, you guys are embodying what we want to do, right? Entrepreneurs supporting other entrepreneurs, this is the epitome of a public-private partnership. It's an honor to be here, especially with my work in entrepreneurial small business development, I think our paths are going to cross again. I'm going to do everything I can to make it happen. We always say that we want to give business owners all the tools that they need to be successful, and I think you have all the tools that they need to be successful. So, well done, congratulations! We're glad to have you guys here. 01:15 Speaker: And remember, One Spartanburg! (Laughter and agreement) 01:20 Speaker: Well, we want to thank you guys, and you're all welcome at any time to come in and talk to us. Our website is being updated constantly, and in the next couple of weeks, you'll see all of the programs—I think we've got two of the concept programs in, and I'm still working out a couple of logistics with some of our partners. All of those concept-nurtured programs are going to be teaching them a skillset or certification that they can actually monetize in their business practices. As well as getting the sponsors to contribute more to become involved, as far as Google sending us that amazing camera so that we can do the road mapping—that is superb. But I just want to thank our other partners, RingCentral, who have worked tirelessly with us on trying to get their technology for video conferencing, and we use that for their business phone lines. Every member has the RingCentral app and actually has an extension on our main system so that people can call them, send text messages from it, all that great stuff. I want to thank Axis Communications, they've been great. They gave us these cameras at a tremendous discount so that we can have this technology in place. I love Axis because they were the first in IP, and they make the best IP camera in the world. Just to thank all the people locally: keep supporting local entrepreneurs. We have a lot of services—like Jeremiah's, if you got photography to be done for your business, he's an excellent photographer and his videography is almost perfect. Once he finishes his training—if you look at some of his videos, it's amazing, he does amazing wedding videos and things of that nature. We have audio, if you're doing commercials. We have two audio companies: one is Thomas of Emulous Studios, he is exceptional, exceptional talents. Xuku—these guys, we set them up through a GoDaddy reseller, they're doing cloud and hosting services, as well as Exxon Group. So we have two of those on that program, so you can sign up for your domains, sign up for your hosting services. Instead of going straight to GoDaddy, go to your local business here in Spartanburg. We have two of them that provide those services—email service, their websites and links will be on our site. The goal of it is, the more we market the center and these guys, the more we can get our Spartanburg businesses to invest in their local businesses. Spend local. This is how we build our local economy: spending local and empowering the businesses that are right around our door. We are a friendly group. Like I said, if you've got a business idea or you're having a challenge, especially with technology, you come in to us. We provide cloud technology, we're trying to get businesses to convert their operations over to the cloud. Jack could be able to tell you with his POS system that went down three months ago because he didn't have a backup, and it took a month to bring it back to where it needed to be, and he lost sales. So, anything that we can do for any entrepreneurs... and I want to tell you this for your parents: how I got the technology—that's why you see an Xbox over here—was through video games. If you got a young teen at the house who's playing Xbox and PlayStation, just send them to me. Don't discourage them, because I would have never got to where we're here, because most of this technology I actually tested when I wanted to do a gaming fraternity and a gaming thing online. The actual technology that I'm using right now to broadcast live to Facebook is a gaming application. It's like a $60 application used for video gamers to show their screen. I tweaked it to make it work for this environment. So be encouraged, parents. If any of your kids or grandkids are playing video games, you send them to me, and we'll help them channel that talent into a technology skill that can serve them well. That's where the new jobs are going to be in the tech sector, and we can get our kids right out of high school, right into the tech sector with their certifications. I'm pushing project management certification and different skillsets so that they can be able to do larger commercial projects. So, just thank you, and God has been great for us, and I want to give Him all the glory, because I'm just working through Him to try to do something small for our One Spartanburg. 06:11 (Outro graphic displaying "Thinking Outside The Box" logo) Source and limits The archive does not identify the unnamed main speaker.
